About Us
In 2007, as a group of friends and business associates, we began exploring the benefits of a single company offering a complete range of Product Development, 3D Design and Rapid Prototyping services to Engineers, Architects, and Designers.
We quickly identified the opportunity to offer a responsive, high quality and reliable service to organisations that previously had little exposure to these technologies and their benefits. Thus AXIA was born.
Our desire to work collaboratively with companies and individuals, and not simply for them, has resulted in some very unique projects and a direction of business not originally expected. In the early months it became clear that demand from a variety of professional sources needs to be specifically addressed. AXIA has invested heavily in the necessary software tools and equipment and training - and is proud to be able to offer specialist services Architects, Engineers, Designers and Medical and Dental practitioners, both within New Zealand and Internationally.
The company founders
Andrew Kersley, a Masters graduate Engineer, who returned to NZ after 4 years specializing in Product Design and Development at a leading consultancy in London.
Nick Gledhill, an Engineering graduate from Massey, with a passion for Product Design and who regards Rapid Prototyping as the gateway to 3D reality.
Ian Harris, who brings a lifetime's experience running technical and business units in the computing and telecommunications industries in New Zealand & overseas.
Bruce Gledhill, Hawke's Bay business owner with experience in delivering innovative mechanical and business solutions in Recycling and Agricultural machinery sectors.
Bruce, Nick and Andrew are based in AXIA's Napier office, whilst Ian is Auckland based.
